Best of London Fashion Week SS26 Street Style: Womenswear and Menswear

London Fashion Week is my favourite time of year in London.

It’s where all my photography worlds come together: spontaneity and adaptiveness of street photography, the emotion and expression of lifestyle portrait photography, and the bold looks of editorial fashion photography. Moreover, it’s become one of my favourite social gatherings of photographers in the city.

Having moved to London only last year as a Canadian photographer, Fashion Week has been where I’ve made my closest friends. Back in my hometown of Vancouver, the photography world was small and ultimately competitive (especially when compared to a creative hub like London).

Photographers in Vancouver often become jack-of-all-trades out of necessity and often, subconsciously, see others as competition.

On the other hand, London is a destination for photographers. With so many talented creatives, rather than becoming a jack-of-all-trades, London photographers are led to become a master of their craft.

Because of this, my perspective – and what I choose to shoot – will always be different from the photographer next to me, even at London Fashion Week, capturing street style. Fellow photographers share tips and secrets to support each other. I’ve learned more about my photography in my last year in London than in the previous five years in Vancouver following university; my portfolio has had a dramatic change.

Fashion is innately social, and meeting those in the photography space with great chat, an easy-going nature, and a love for connecting with others was ever-present at London Fashion Week. Most people move to London from somewhere else, and those at Fashion Week shared the same infatuation as I and are welcoming to bring newcomers under their wings.

This season, I had the opportunity to shoot in the exact style I love for Pinterest’s Spotted by Pinterest editorial series. With a focus on Pinterest-centric looks, including layering, second-hand pieces, repurposed looks, and Gen Z expression, I invite you to check out the Spotted by Pinterest collection at London Fashion Week SS26.

Outside of my time shooting for Pinterest this season, I returned to photograph London street style for DanceWax: a growing music and fashion magazine. These looks below, both for menswear and womenswear, were some of my favourites – captured with my 28mm lens that offers me a unique perspective and a reason to get up close.

Cow print, structured fits, flowing garments, and overcoats decorated shows like Burberry, Skepta’s MAINS, and many other fashion week favourites: see them all below and on my Instagram.
